I am very pleased to report that my application to serve on the Z590.7 ANSI/ASSP committee to develop a national management system standard for Total Worker Health ® (TWH) has been accepted. I had previously served as an alternate for the Healthier Workforce Center, a NIOSH/CDC-funded Total Worker Health Center of Excellence. As I am retiring from the University of Iowa and the Healthier Workforce Center, I will serve on the committee as an individual. I welcome the opportunity to contribute and to learn. This Special Issue will highlight recent advances in controlling occupational exposures and promoting occupational health and safety. Contributions examining exposures in the work environment using newer methods (e.g., Bayesian model averaging) or instruments (e.g., wearable sensors) as well as studies involving newer conceptualizations of the work environment (e.g., remote work) and workplace hazards (e.g., poor safety culture) are encouraged. Manuscripts presenting novel interventions targeting these exposures or addressing vulnerable populations are also welcome. Submissions may include studies using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods with primary or secondary data. All manuscripts will be subject to peer review to ensure quality publications.…
